Important notes about products not imported or supported by Segway New Zealand
- Ninebot by Segway KickScooter ES1 is a 250 watt model, with fewer safety features and lower performance compared with ES2 (300 watt model) and ES4, making it less suitable for New Zealand conditions.
- Ninebot by Segway ES2 and ES4 units imported by grey market/parallel importers/private individuals, and units sold by on-line or other sellers who did not purchase their stock from Segway New Zealand are not supported under warranty by Segway New Zealand or our Dealers/Retailers.
- Ninebot by Segway miniPRO (260 version) is marketed in USA as the ‘2018 Edition’ and has a smaller 260 Watt-hour battery pack and reduced performance. It is otherwise identical to the Segway miniPRO (320 version). The more powerful miniPRO with 320 Watt-hour battery pack provides extended range, faster speed and improved performance-under-load, and increased rider safety under New Zealand conditions.
- Ninebot by Segway Gokart requires a miniPRO to provide the power and rear wheels. Simply remove the miniPRO's knee-steer and fit it into the rear of the Gokart in just a few minutes. If you already own a miniPRO buy the Gokart as a single item. If not, buy the Gokart+miniPRO bundle.
- Segway-Ninebot ONE A1 and ONE S1 are lower-spec’d versions of the ONE S2 model (they have lower top speed, shorter range, etc). The ONE S1 is sold only in North America, while the ONE A1 is sold in some Asian territories alongside the ONE S2.
- Ninebot PRT E+ does not have UL2272 electrical safety certification, nor redundant sub-systems, leaving it unsuitable for mobility use or commercial deployments in New Zealand. Segway NZ has never imported or sold this model, and does not sell spare parts, except for replacement battery packs.
- Ninebot mini (a discontinued model sometimes sold in NZ by on-line sellers who have imported some units, or by private individuals) does not have UL2272 electrical safety certification. Segway NZ has never imported or sold this model, and does not sell spare parts, except for replacement battery packs (320 Watt-hour only).
- Segway SE-3 Patroller is available by special order, for deployment in selected Public Safety roles in New Zealand.
