Kiwi gets to ride brand new Segway ONE Z10 electric unicycle

A couple of weeks ago Philip Bendall (Managing Director, Segway New Zealand) got to ride the new Segway ONE Z10, while visiting Segway's regional HQ in Singapore. The ONE Z10 is Segway's latest, most powerful electric unicycle (ECU) featuring a massively wide 4" (10cm), 18" (46cm) diameter making it fit for all kinds of off-road adventures, and super-comfortable and capable in the urban jungle too. Philip's brief test-ride experience was the 4" wide wheel makes the Z10 the easiest EUC he's ever tried, offering stability and grip far in excess of any previous Segway ONE product. Segway New Zealand is offering the top-of-range Segway Z10 model for sale "off the shelf" in New Zealand, while the the ONE Z6 and ONE S2 models are easily available by special order (expect 4 to 7 week lead time for delivery). Pricing will be announced in July and the first shipment of Segway ONE Z10's are expected to arrive here during August 2018. If you're ready to replace your weak or worn old 'wheel' or are an enthusiastic newcomer to the excitement of EUC riding then the Z10 is probably the best 'wheel' ever created. So if you want to be one of the first people in the Southern Hemisphere to own and ride the Segway ONE Z10 get in touch and place your pre-order today! Call Segway New Zealand on 0800 2 SEGWAY or email segwaynz@icloud.com Here's a great Segway ONE Z10 extreme riding promo video (1:25 minutes) including dirt tracks, rocks and jumps! Here is a 24 minute video review of the Segway ONZ Z10, shot a few weeks ago in New York City with experienced EUC owners putting it through its paces (a shorter 10 minute edit with less commentary and insight can be found online as well). This was a pre-production version being put through its paces by a couple of well-known EUC fans. When he did the same climb on the miniPRO two years ago there were short four sections of the track that were too steep for the miniPRO, and he had to carry it a few meters each time. With larger and wider tyres and more powerful motors, the miniPLUS ($1,895) can take you more places than any other mini-Series model. Look out for a detailed review in a future Segway NZ News story.
