Navimow H-series updated with new 'Isolated Zones' feature

Over the past couple of days every Segway Navimow H-series has received a free firmware update adding the Isolated Zones feature.

Normal Zones are those that can be connected by a Corridor so Navimow can drive from one to another.

Isolated Zones are zones you carry your Navimow to, put it down on the grass, and set it going. It will mow the entire area once, then stop, and then you carry it back to Charging Station, or to a lawn that contains the Charging Station or is connected to it by a Corridor.

If the Isolated Zone is too large to be fully mowed using a single battery charge, Navimow will stop when it runs flat and send you an alert so you can carry it back to the Charging Station. Once recharged, carry Navimow back to the Isolated Zone again and set it going — it will automatically position itself to where it last came to a stop, then carry on mowing from there. You can repeat these steps as many times as it takes to complete the mowing (but hey, if your Isolated Zone is that large maybe you should consider relocating the Charging Station to there?).

You can have as many Isolated Zones as you want (up to 12), and you can also connect Isolated Zones with corridors. That is, Navimow can drive between multiple Isolated Zones that, as a group, are all isolated from Charging Station.

The I-series received the Isolated Zones feature in the August firmware update.

We think Isolated Zones are going to be very useful on a lot of New Zealand properties. In particular, on sections in hillier parts of town that feature terraced lawns.
