Movie stars, sexy and geeky TV stars,* sports stars,** pop stars,*** rock stars and even pop-rock-satarist-stars**** all love the Segway Personal Transporter (PT). Famous writers, too.*****
Here's an excerpt from an interview with actress Susan Sarandon, who cruised around Burning Man last year on a Segway PT:
I heard you went to Burning Man last year, but sadly couldn’t make it this year.
It’s fabulous. I can’t go this year because my daughter’s having a baby around that time, so I don’t think I’d feel very free to indulge if I was waiting for a message to see if she’s gone into labor. I went all around on a Segway and a bicycle, which was great, and even though people sometimes recognized me and said, “Oh, it’s so cool you’re here!” it wasn’t like walking the streets of New York. The art was amazing....it was a lot of fun and I’d definitely go back.
Another well-known movie star who is often seen riding a Segway PT is Jackie Chan, who co-founded of JCAM, the official Distributor of Segway Products in many parts of Asia. Jackie Chan's business also interests include the popular Go Green Segway Tours and Fun Rides in Singapore.
