Here are three ways to transport your Segway Dirt Bike - from where you are right now to wherever you want to ride.
#1 is....you CAN LAY IT DOWN on the deck of your ute, in the back of your SUV, or on any trailer you want.
With no petrol to spill out or oil to leak, there is no mess with an Segway electric Dirt Bike. Just put it down on its side - any which way you like!
#2 is....you can use a motorbike trailer
A specialised motorbike trailer is a popular choice amongst dirt bike owners, especially if they have more than one bike.
#3....is a tow-bar dirt bike carrier
There are several brands of carrier for sale in New Zealand.
One example is the 'Slipstream' from Trax Equipment, manufactured from aluminium and galvanised steel. There are adaptors for use with either a 50mm square receptor type or a flat tongue type tow-bar. A detachable ramp is stored parallel to the bike when not in use.
Options include a 'wheel lock' that holds the bike upright to enable easy one-person loading and tying down, and a lighting panel if the bike blocks the brake and/or indicator lights on your vehicle. If your number plate is obscured then you can obtain a Supplementary Number Plate to attach to the carrier (~$20 from NZTA).
